Game Rules: All playing rules and regulations for tournament will be governed by 2009 ASA Official Guide and Rule Book except as noted herein. Games will be 7 innings, however in pool play no new inning will start after 80 minutes from the umpires play ball signal, single elimination games have a 95 minute limit. Pool games may end in a tie but during elimination rounds the tie breaker rules will start in the 8th inning or when the time limit is reached. Championship games have no time limit. Should a team fall short of nine players due to substitution and then injury, a bench player(s) of the opposing team's choice may be substituted for the injured player(s). During pool play, the home team will be determined by coin flip. The ASA run ahead rule will be in play (15 after 3, 12 after 4, and 8 after 5). For 10U there shall be no stealing of home, only one base on a steal attempt regardless, and there shall be no bunting when a runner is at third base. Should a runner advance illegally under these conditions, the runner(s) will be returned to the appropriate base without penalty.

Game time is forfeit time. Protests must be settled on the playing field before the game can continue. No protests will be allowed after the game is completed.

Seedings for the elimination round is based on pool play results in the following order: most wins, fewest losses, head to head competition, runs allowed, runs scored, and coin flip in that order. The highest seed will be home team during elimination rounds. Should both teams be the same seed, then a coin flip will be used.

When they become available, single elimination round game schedules will be announced at the concession stands, on this web page, and the voice mail at (603) 598-4176. This telephone number is voice mail only.  Call the division director listed above if your questions are not answered there. If you need to be contacted otherwise, please leave contact info at a concession tent.

To assure insurance coverage for the umpires, only teams registered with the ASA are eligible to participate. Teams not ASA registered can register with the NH ASA at the tournament for a $50.00 fee. Teams should participate with the same roster as used in regular season play. Please bring rosters, proof of age, and proof of insurance to the tournament for inspection at any time. (ASA Player ID cards, legible copies of birth certificates, adoption papers, or driver's licenses are acceptable proofs of age).

Rain Policy: Schedule change information will be available on this web page or by calling our voice mail at (603) 598-4176. Call the division director listed above if your questions are not answered there. During round robin games, the time limit rule continues to be in effect during any rain delay. Round robin games will not be rescheduled. Pool play games completing less than 3 full innings (2 1/2 when home team is leading) will be considered a tie for both teams with the runs after the last complete inning, 0-0 for games with no innings completed. Ties due to rain are not counted as a win or loss. Single elimination games may be shortened to 3 innings or one hour if necessary to make up for rain delays. If it becomes impossible to complete the tournament, winners will be based on win/loss record, head to head competition, runs allowed, runs scored, and coin flip in that order.

TESTIMONIALS

We had a great time at the Hudson Tournament. What is most appealing to us is the inclusion of all age brackets. Our league looks to send our travel teams to the same tournaments, and we found this year had little to offer in terms of multiple age divisions. This is our second year at Hudson, and I believe our first with all three divisions (10U, 12U, 14U). I received positive remarks from all three teams, and all three will be returning. Thanks again for the great job.

Congratulations on having one of the best tournaments we ever participated in, anywhere. We had a great time. We put together a small six team tournament last weekend and I know how difficult it is to pull off. Organization, schedule, fields, officiating were all top notch.

I would like to thank all the people who were involved in this tournament. Even though our girls were certainly not the top contenders, they really enjoyed the tournament. I was proud of the job our girls did and the fact that all their games, with one exception, were very close. The amount of time that was put in by your people, and in the 95 degree weather, is to say the least, commendable. The fields were in terrific shape due to a lot of hard work by you. I have been on the other side and know that is usually a few that do most of the work. The girls appreciated it.

Just wanted to pass a note on to everyone involved that volunteered their time and efforts this weekend for the Barbara Hamilton Tourney.  This was the fifth tournament of the year for our team.  Two of our previous tourneys inspired me to send letters to tournament directors due to how poorly they were organized, officiated and run.  Given the circumstances I can't help but send one when a league does as good a job as you folks did this last weekend.  Our girls had a wonderful time!

The tournament was organized and handled exceptionally well.  Games were all scheduled well.  The way the pools were set up was nicely done and everything stayed on time and was well organized with officiating.  What more can one ask? As a board member in our league I know the kind of commitment it takes to pull tournaments of this caliber off and it's not easy.  Please pass on a big thank-you from all the coaches, parents and players.

Thanks to everyone from Hudson - you all should be commended.

I have attended the Hudson tournaments for a couple of years now, just as a spectator and have been impressed. I'm even more impressed after playing in one.

Our team had a wonderful time at your tournament. The atmosphere and organization were top notch, and supplying plaques to all the girls was, well, just great.

This was a great tournament, the best setup we've seen in years.

Great job setting up the tournament, we had a great time.

Note from the HGSL staff: The character of the teams involved go a long way to making a successful and fun filled tournament. We have been blessed with great teams, with few issues needing resolution.
